Classes and auditions for Cancel Christmas

Two classes are planned: One for adults (seniors welcome) and one for children.

  • CHILDREN'S ACTING CLASSES

    Ages 10 – 17 Acting classes by the Author of the musical play and the book, Cancel Christmas. Learn all aspects of the stage: Acting, dance. voice, theatre ethics, teamwork, achievement, character development, etc. Character development, includes both the character as a student and the character as an actor. All students will be considered for the holiday season's production of Cancel Christmas. See www.bogwig.com for more information.
    On going - Fee: $10.00 per class

    ADULT ACTING CLASSES

    Ages 18 – up (Seniors welcome) Intergenerational Acting classes by the Author of the musical play/book, Cancel Christmas. Learn all aspects of the stage: monologues through ensemble work, with character development for future roles as an actor. Voice and dance will be included. All students will be considered for the holiday season's production of Cancel Christmas. See www.bogwig.com for more information.

Teamwork is stressed as well as achievement. Below is an outline of the classes:

  • Introduction
  • Theatre and commitment.
  • Movement and voice: projection, singing, dance.
  • Monologues and study.
  • Ensemble work.
  • Choose scenes to perform.
  • Read scenes
  • Students will be considered for the holiday season's production of Cancel Christmas.

Sam
Sam Younghans

Sam started acting and writing short plays in grammar school and has been acting, performing and writing ever since. He studied drama in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. He has performed in many plays, films, television and commercials. His book Cancel Christmas, which he adapted from his play, has recently been adapted to a screenplay.

He taught drama, produced plays and created two theatres. He now lives in Glendale, CA, and continues his passion for the stage, either acting, directing, teaching or writing. See his latest performane as, Gus, the theater cat, in the Ukiah Civic Light Opera's production of the musical, CATS.

Class Information

Children's classes will be limited to 12 - 15 members per class.

Adult's classes will be limited to 12 -15 members per class.

Rates:
Classes will be on-going. $10.00 per class

Private lessons or coaching @ $25 per hour.

Also forming a weekly Interactive Actor's Workshop to work on developing monologues and presentations ($10.00 per session). Interested actors: Contact Santa.

Cancel Christmas will be produced in California this 2012 Christmas season. This original, musical, play has been produced in both, northern and southern California by numerous theatre groups.You can read about the book and the play @ www.bogwig.com.
