All aspects of the theatre, from theatre ethics to character development, are included in the classes. By character development,  both the character as a student and the character as an actor are stressed. Students are treated as professionals and they are expected to conduct themselves as professionals, both on stage and off stage. As well as learning to act, these classes are designed to help the student to become a thoughtful, caring person throughout his/her life.

Teamwork is stressed as well as achievement. Below is an outline of the classes:
1.  Introduction 
2.  About theatre and commitment. 
3.  Movement and voice. Projection and singing.
4.  Choose monologues and study.
5.  Read monologues.
6.  Perform monologues - choose scenes to perform.
7.  Read scenes - Work on monologues.
8.  Work on monologues & scenes.
9.  Work on monologues & scenes.
10. Perform monologues & scenes for family.

Students will be considered for the holiday season's production of Cancel Christmas.

Class Information

Classes will be held on Saturdays (Subject to change) . Classes will run from 
10 -12 AM  (Possibly some sessions will run later.) - limited to 12 members per class.

Rates: $175 for 10 classes. Classes will be on-going.
Advanced classes (First 10 classes required) - 10 classes - $150 or $17.50 per class.
Private lessons or coaching @ $25 per hour.

Also forming a weekly Interactive Actor's Workshop to work on monologues and presentations ($7.50 per session). Interested actors please email: Contact Santa.

Cancel Christmas coming to the Huntington Beach Playhouse . This original musical play has been produced in Northern and Southern California by various theatre groups.
